Lintend ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. Please read it carefully.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, configure AI assistants, or contact us for support. This includes:

•Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), and billing details.
•Usage data: assistant configurations, conversation logs, knowledge documents you upload, and API usage metrics.
•Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and timestamps of requests.
•Payment data: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We store only the last four digits of your card and a payment method token — never the full card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

•Provide, maintain, and improve the Lintend platform.
•Process transactions and send related information such as purchase confirmations and invoices.
•Send operational communications — account activity, security alerts, and product updates.
•Respond to your comments and questions and provide customer support.
•Monitor and analyse usage patterns to detect abuse and improve reliability.
•Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We may share your information with:

•Service providers who assist us in operating the platform (cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for specified purposes.
•Law enforcement or regulators when required by applicable law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lintend, our users, or the public.
•Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, provided the acquiring party agrees to honour this Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. billing records for tax purposes, which are kept for 7 years).

Conversation logs associated with your AI assistants are retained for 90 days by default. You may delete individual sessions or all logs at any time from your dashboard.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data:

•All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher.
•Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12 or higher.
•Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel using multi-factor authentication.
•We conduct regular security reviews and penetration tests.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you suspect a security breach, contact us immediately at security@lintend.com.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

•Keep you signed in across browser sessions (authentication cookies).
•Remember your preferences and settings.
•Analyse aggregate usage statistics (analytics cookies).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the platform. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

•Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
•Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
•Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
•Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
•Objection / Restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.

8. International Transfers

Lintend is headquartered in Nepal. Your data may be processed on servers located in other jurisdictions (including the United States and European Union) by our cloud infrastructure providers. We ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws through appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Children's Privacy

Lintend is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Lintend after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
